Some of the UK’s finest entrepreneurs are the stars of a photographic exhibition which opened last week at a top London gallery.
The portraits being showcased feature the winners of the 2007 BT Business Essence of the Entrepreneur competition. For the second year running, BT Business has worked alongside Growing Business magazine to uncover 20 trailblazing entrepreneurs who have found new ways to succeed in business with the help of technology.
Each winner was snapped by ground-breaking celebrity photographer Perou, who was tasked with using his renowned creative flair to capture the ‘essence’ of their businesses.
Over the summer months Perou traversed the country to capture each of the winning 20 in the location, dress and form most befitting to their business.
Stephen Clarke, founder of telecoms-based messaging service for parents Truancy Call, for example, is pictured in school uniform having a sneaky fag behind the bike-sheds, while Adam Hildreth, founder of internet child protection solution Crisp Thinking, is wearing a coat of armour poised to slay a dragon.
The exhibition kicked off with a private view party and champagne reception where the winners were given the opportunity to preview their portraits and be congratulated by judges, representatives from BT Business and Growing Business and Perou himself.
The exhibition is currently being held at the exclusive the.gallery@oxo on London’s South Bank,
which closes on December 2 2007.
