The NWEF were joined by the North West Business Investment Scheme (NWBIS) in the investment in the Cheshire-based company.
SNG produce software that makes it easier to buy e-products such as pictures, games and ringtones on a mobile phone.
The company, founded by Iain Rosie in 2005, has spent the last 18 months developing its technology.
The deal means that SNG will be able to access a further £750,000 provided that it hits key targets.
Rosie said: “We have been developing this product for the past 18 months and this funding round will enable us to take us through the commercialisation phase.
“We will be using the money on areas such as sales and marketing and the recruitment of the staff so we can bring in the customers.”
The company were advised by Andrew O’Mahony of law firm Brabners on the deal.
