Tory leader David Cameron has promised to cut tax rates in a bid to win over the business community.

Cameron also vowed to relieve the “burden of regulation that is making life more and more of a misery for the people on whom our nation’s prosperity depends: entrepreneurs and wealth creators.”

The Conservative party leader was speaking at the British Chamber of Commerce regional business summit when he outlined plans to create an “invigorating climate change for enterprise”.

Tax cuts, however, are only the beginning. Cameron has big ideas about overhauling the UK’s underlying infrastructure, including transport systems, to encourage what he describes as “regional enterprise”.

During his speech, Cameron also alluded to the UK’s current economical woes and predicted a very different picture in a Conservation Britain: “With us you’ll know where you stand. An end to economic incompetence and reckless borrowing where we will put stability first, so the foundations of our economy are strong,” he asserted.
