Believing that existing in-house project collaboration software was too expensive, complicated and slow, the Huddle founders decided to develop a service which could deliver more efficient meetings, reduce project timelines and allow seamless work with customers and suppliers through shared servers and websites. A number of key partnerships, including one with business network LinkedIn and another with video conferencing giant InterCall, propelled last year’s turnover to approximately £4m, up from £1.5m in 2008. McLoughlin and Mitchell are now taking their business global, setting their sights initially on the US market.
