Do It! or Ditch It
When Bev James was 11 years old she wanted a horse. She started litter-picking at the local lido, then found a dirty boatyard and offered to clean the boats – anything to make money – until she could afford her horse. This is the Do it! or Ditch It attitude.
“The lesson for me,” she says, “was just start. Don’t worry about ‘if onlys’. Use what you have and build on that.” Many years later, she has applied this lesson to accumulate over 20 years’ business experience, now working as a millionaire mentor and recently co-founding the Entrepreneurs’ Business Academy with Dragon’s Den’s James Caan.
In short, she knows her stuff.
In this, her first book, she applies her vast coaching experience to support entrepreneurs in making the decision to get into business, and in how to make efficient and effective decisions when they get there.
“With a staggering number of start-ups not reaching year two, Do It! or Ditch It is the perfect tool to help focus plans and clarify decision-making before setting off,” James Caan says.
Supplemented with real stories, personal experiences and inspirational quotes, the book is broken down into logical sections. The first half focuses on advice, such as how to get into the decision-making habit, while the latter is filled with dynamic coaching techniques. Encouraging commitment, engagement and pro-activity from the reader, the advice can be tailored to all stages of business development.
