Innocent Drinks founder Richard Reed, Gü Puds entrepreneur James Averdieck and Shortlist Media boss Mike Soutar will be among the judges at this year’s Fast Growth Business Awards, which are now open for entries.

The Fast Growth Business Awards, now in their fifth year and headline sponsored by NatWest Bank, recognise impressive young enterprises and the entrepreneurs behind them, and previous winners that have gone on to become some of Britain’s best-known businesses include Lovefilm, Maximuscle and King of Shaves.

This year’s awards cover 12 categories, including Innovative Business of the Year, Online Business of the Year and International Business of the Year, and winners will be recognised in a black tie ceremony taking place in London in October.

Ian Wallis, editorial director at Crimson Business, commented:

“Running a fast-growth company can be highly risky, exciting and most of all, damn hard work. Despite that and the backdrop of a tough economic climate, there’s no shortage of good entrepreneurs finding gaps in sizeable markets. The Fast Growth Business Awards never disappoints. Entrants consistently showcase the depth and breadth of quality businesses we have here in the UK.”
