Tim Hawkins, commercial director of GE Commercial Finance, Business Finance, said: “The South West and Wales are strong business areas, and the opening of the Bristol office will enable Business Finance to make its presence more prominent in these key regions.”
The Bristol team will be led by Steve Merchant, director of business development, who has been selected to head the South West team.
“I am delighted to have returned to Business Finance to lead and develop the new business team in the South West and Wales,” Merchant said.
He added that the team, in addition to capitalising on new business, will also attempt to strengthen existing relationships with clients and business partners in the region.
