Baldwins, a family-owned firm of accountants in the Midlands, has completed the acquisition of Coventry practice McCranors.
Under the terms of the deal, Baldwins’ nearby Nuneaton office will merge with McCranors under a new name, Baldwin McCranor. The merger will be completed in early April.
Baldwins Group, which is led by John Baldwin, already operates eight partner-led offices, offering a range of services such as auditing, tax advice and small business consultancy. The company hopes the acquisition of McCranors will lead to even more impressive growth.
John Edwards, the partner and head of Baldwins Nuneaton who will remain a partner in the merged company, said:
“This is an exciting opportunity for all concerned. The bringing together of two well-known and successful accountancy practices in the Warwickshire area will help us to continue to improve our offering to existing clients and should give us sufficient momentum to accelerate our organic growth.
“With our in-house expertise and the support of Baldwins’ specialists across the region, we are able to provide an offering normally associated with national firms.”
