A thriving fruit juice presser and bottler, James White Drinks produces a vast range of fruit juices. It also makes Big Tom, a spicy tomato juice for which it was granted a Royal Warrant in 2002. The firm’s latest product is Beetroot Juice, developed on the back of new health research which demonstrates the impact nitrates from beetroot juice can have on both blood pressure reduction and increased oxygen usage efficiency. The firm has applied for a patent covering the use of natural nitrates in drinks to enhance stamina, and hopes a successful sports product based around the concept could significantly add to its revenues of £3.1m.
