A venture that launched as a network of passionate wine drinkers in 2008 has enjoyed impressive revenue growth by giving winemakers direct access to a loyal customer base, cutting out a raft of costs from the supply chain in the process. Its founder Rowan Gormley describes Naked Wines as ‘wine venture capital business’ and it has recently unveiled a £5m investment fund for talented winemakers looking to set up in business.
