A major funding body is holding an event next week for high-growth new businesses, investors and professional organisations.
The Growth Investment Network East Midlands (GINEM) and Connect Midlands is hosting a conference to talk about the latest funding initiatives in the region.
The ‘Access To Finance’ event will be held at BioCity on September 7 from 5.30pm.
Catapult Venture Managers will also be outlining the new £30m Midlands Enterprise Capital Fund at the event.
The objective of the fund is to fill the 'equity gap' for small to medium sized enterprises in the East Midlands, and provide commercial returns to investors by investing in young, well managed businesses with high growth potential.
GINEM members have played an important role in the successful completion of deals between private investors and companies.
Since launch, in October 2004, members of GINEM have raised in excess of £5m for local businesses.
