‘Pitching For Management’ events across the country will allow small firms the chance to fill their management positions with experienced professionals as well as raise early stage funding, according to parent firm AngelNews.
The events, which will take place in various locations in the UK including Edinburgh, London and Manchester, will each feature 6 start-ups or entrepreneurs who will present their business concept along with their available management roles to the assembled network of professionals.
Participants will include angels, prospective co-founders and venture capitalists as well as various specialists including serial CEOs, sales personnel and marketing directors.
Founder of Massive Analytic George Frangou, who pitched for a software developer position at a recent Cambridge event, commented: “The events are well planned and I find the question and answer session particularly useful as people use that time to point out any gaps in your presentation and you can fill in with more detail than before.
The networking after the event provides some really useful contacts, because often when someone isn’t right for the role they will know someone who is – so the networking actually extends past the event. It’s a great experience and I would highly recommend it to anyone who needs help building up their management team.”
