The company has been backed by a consortium of investors led by venture capital firm NorthStar Equity Investors (NSEI) which invested £500,000. Other backers included UK Steel Enterprise which invested £200,000 as well as private investors who put a further £300,000 into the pot.

The business will use the funding to expand its operations in the both the UK and US over the next two years. Chief executive Alan Timothy says he wants to take his company’s innovative ‘i-snapshot’ sales management product across the world

“i-snapshot presents a whole new era within the retail sales market and with clients such as Sony, Nestlé and Jewson already on board, we’re confident that retailers around the globe will soon follow suit,” said Timothy.

The technology is aimed at companies whose sales teams are out and about making sales, allowing staff to give instant updates on sales activity via text message.

The software works from any mobile phone and is in demand from retail firms who are using it to monitor sales force productivity, the company says.
