Integrated managed data services firm Six Degrees Group has announced the acquisition of Ultraspeed, a London-based cloud services provider.

According to Alastair Mills, CEO of Six Degrees, the acquisition marks “a significant move” towards expanding his company’s hosting and cloud capabilities, and will raise the profile of Six Degrees in the digital media space.

Founded in 1998, Ultraspeed has built up an enviable client base which includes Nando’s, Bon Voyage Travel & Tours and the British Heart Foundation.

According to Jordan Gross, CEO of Ultraspeed, the acquisition by Six Degrees “will allow us to add strong network and datacentre offerings to our proposition, along with converged services, giving us a strong end-to-end capability.

“We’ll also have greater financial strength and a broader technology platform allowing us to continue to target larger companies in the mid-market space”.
