The Six Degrees Group has bought Cloud Computing Centre (CCC), in a deal that takes the company’s revenue run-rate to £50m.
In a double announcement, the managed data services provider also revealed a new investment of £8m from Penta Capital, to add to the £60m received last year.
CCC currently serves over 100 mid-market hosting customers with an average annual spend of £36,000.
As a Microsoft Gold Partner and Silver Hosting Partner, it is hoped CCC will bring new skillsets to Six Degrees, which focuses on linking people, places and clouds through data services.
Alastair Mills, CEO of Six Degrees Group is confident that CCC’s cloud hosting expertise will complement the Six Degrees service: “I am delighted to welcome Cloud Computing Centre to Six Degrees Group.
“This is a significant acquisition for us as it reinforces our mid-market focus, strengthens our managed cloud hosting team and brings outstanding technical capabilities to the Group.”
Similarly, Keith Bates, CEO of CCC feels that the buy-out will strengthen the cloud computing business: “This is an exciting day in the evolution of Cloud Computing Centre. We felt that the time was right to join forces with one of the fastest-growing managed data service providers in the sector, especially when we have so much in common.
“Joining Six Degrees Group will significantly strengthen our ability to win mid-market and corporate cloud hosting contracts and to deliver new services to our existing clients.”
