Springfield Healthcare Group, Yorkshire and Humberside’s largest independent provider of homecare has received a total £4.4m from Business Growth Fund, investors in growing small and medium businesses.
The money has been split into two separate investments, with £2.5m going to Springfield Homecare, helping the company to expand the geographical reach of the care it offers to elderly people in their own homes.
The remaining £1.9m has been invested in Seacroft care village and will be used to help fund a residential facility, which will be situated in the Seacroft area of Leeds.
Managed by chairman, Graeme Lee, Springfield now cares for nearly 2,000 clients each day, having grown from the single family-run care home, established in 1967.
Lee is confident that the new investment will help his company to grow even further: “This £4.4m investment from BGF is great news for Springfield and for the individuals to whom we provide care.
“It will enable us to grow and maintain high standards so that we can offer more hours of care and broader geographic reach.”
Andy Gregory, Business Growth Fund regional director for the North of England, who led the investment, is happy to be a part of the project: “Springfield is a highly regarded regional operator known for its high quality of care, and its focus on delivery of service.
“We are delighted to be working with them to deliver these services in Yorkshire and Humberside.”
